These guys are my heroes. If you've ever enjoyed a Patent Pending live show before, you have these guys to thank for it. Goldfinger was one of the first "real" shows that I ever went to. I was just a little kid. I told my mom I was going to a hockey game and a bunch of us snuck our way onto a train into the city to see Goldfinger. Every single thing they did was energetic and awesome. It was pop-punk with the purpose of excitement and it changed the course of my life forever. At the time, I didn't know how to play guitar or write songs, but it immediately became important that I did so I could try and experience what these guys were doing on stage. I seriously learned everything I know about playing live shows from watching them and it has led me through these past 8 years of touring around the world. They were the greatest then, and they are still the greatest now. I'm truly stoked for their new album. If you don't know this band... GET TO KNOW THEM! If you are a Patent Pending lifer... you've probably heard me say some things very similar to what he says at 2:53 in this video. ENJOY!
